Returns, Cancellations and Refunds Policy

This Returns, Cancellations and Refunds Policy applies to purchases made from The Belfry Shop.

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.

1. Cancelling an order because you have changed your mind

If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you normally have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason.

You must tell us that you wish to cancel within 14 days beginning on the day after you, or a person nominated by you, receives the goods.

Where an order contains several items delivered separately, the cancellation period begins on the day after the final item is received.

After telling us that you wish to cancel, you must send the goods back within a further 14 days.

2. Print-on-demand products

Most products sold by The Belfry Shop are printed, manufactured or prepared after an order is placed. This helps us reduce unnecessary stock and overproduction.

A product being made or printed after ordering does not, by itself, make it personalised or exempt from cancellation rights. Our standard catalogue products remain eligible for cancellation and return where the legal right to cancel applies.

3. Personalised and bespoke products

The right to cancel for a change of mind does not apply to goods that have been:

  • personalised using a customer-supplied name, message, photograph, artwork or other content;
  • manufactured to measurements or specifications supplied specifically by the customer; or
  • otherwise substantially customised so that the product cannot reasonably be resold.

Selecting a standard size, colour, material or design from the options shown on our website will not normally make an item personalised.

This exception does not affect your rights where a personalised product is faulty, damaged, misprinted or not as described.

4. Sealed hygiene-sensitive goods

Where goods are supplied in sealed packaging and are unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons, the right to cancel may be lost once the seal has been broken.

This may include sealed underwear and similar hygiene-sensitive products.

Customers may inspect sealed goods without breaking the hygiene seal. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied hygiene-sensitive products remain covered by your statutory rights.
